These are a 12 plait hand braided paracord mecate rein. Available in 3 different lengths of 18ft, 20ft and 22ft and as standard include one tasseled end with a decorative knot and a leather popper on the working end.
These will be available in a range of solid colours as well as a range of 2 colours braids in the near future. If you are thinking of a colour not listed just ask and we may be able to get it in for you.
The first colour listed will be what the bulk of the mecate will be with the second colour being what the decorative knot and middle of tassel will be.
These feel beautiful in the hand, have plenty of weight and feel. The beige/brown mecate pictured was a custom order done for a customer in Austria and she loved it! These take allot of time (and patience) to achieve and one small mistake will definitely show, so no they aren't cheap but everyone also says that they are well worth it.
We will also add the option of adding a set of heavy duty plain slobber straps which can also be custom carved and tooled if need be. Please note the slobbers pictured were custom tooled ones to match a saddle. You can opt for custom tooling or just plain.
